I thoroughly enjoy collaboration with my clients to brainstorm and create eye-catching graphics that are on-point and on-brand. Please enjoy some of my sample work.
Stunning Brochure Design
Melco EMT16X Brochure
In collaboration with executives and other team leaders and managers at Melco, I created this brochure from concept to execution, guiding, directing, and designing every element. This piece showcases photography I directed, photo compositions I created, my layout design, logo design, and writing.
Colorado Orthopedic and Surgical Hospital
Working as a freelance graphic designer, the client supplied most of the content for this piece. My primary role was creating a clean layout for this info-packed brochure.
Melco EMT16 Brochure
One of my favorite brochure designs, the visually dominating die-cut cover helped accomplish the branding initiative of bringing the Melco name back to the front. I worked closely with the printer to create cut lines and a layout that would print nicely, choosing a sturdy cover stock that would tolerate the die cut and hold up to normal handling.
Additionally, I interviewed several Melco clients in the Denver area, featuring two of them in this brochure. To bring the features to life, I hired a photographer to join me on-site during the interviews to help capture the moment, and help make their stories as impactful as possible.
Catalog Design that Sells
FrontLine Medical
Catalogs, booklets, and brochures can be some of the most challenging projects to take on. This one required use of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create and edit graphics, build page layouts, and create a catalog worthy of veterans who sacrifice so much for this nation. Product images and copy were supplied by the client. I sourced stock photography and created the overall design and layout.
Compelling Email Design
Zero Down Financing Email
This B2B email campaign targeted a list of 45,000+ contacts, introducing a financing plan to help reduce the upfront costs of investing in equipment. This was the winning design from our A/B test, with an open rate of over 15%, and 3% CTR.
ShopMelco.com Leap Year 2020
Email for eCommerce requires a different approach all-together. The objective for this campaign was to boost sales for ShopMelco.com, which can be rather anemic depending on seasonal slow-downs. This campaign boosted sales by over 200%, resulting in a record-setting month.
Masterful Photo Retouching and Manipulation
Embroidery Machine Photography
Often times, it’s not cost-effective, or even possible to shoot photography against the perfect background. But, with a graphic artist at your disposal, the impossible becomes possible. The skills needed to drop your subject matter into a background without it looking too “photo shopped” aren’t to be taken for granted.
I had the great fortune to be the director of this particular photo shoot. Partnering with New West Photography in Denver, Colorado, we were able to deliver outstanding images of these awesome looking machines.

Corporate Brand Identity: Melco International
Integrity is essential to any brand. A fundamental piece of applying and maintaining brand integrity is a simple, easily understood style guide. Melco needed consistent application of their brand look and feel cross-channel, easily applied to multi-media including web graphics, print graphics, and embroidery. While I didn’t create the Melco logo, I did standardize application of it, and also recreated the logo in multiple formats, using consistent color values for web and print. Once that was complete, I created the style guide to keep national and international marketing on-brand.
Trade Show Exhibit Design
Trade show exhibit design is all about visibility and short, clear communication. The need to quickly identify who you are and what you offer is imperative. I leveraged Sketchup 3D modeling tools to collaborate with teams at Melco and mock up designs, share ideas and critiques, and make the decisions on booth design and layout. The result? As shown here, clean trade show booth designs that did justice to the products on display, demos, and ultimately resulted in outstanding booth traffic, leads, and sales.

Logo Design
Logos are as varied as the companies themselves, and they don’t have to be overly complex to be effective. One of the most challenging things about it is creating something simple, that is easily reproduced in multiple formats and media, and still effectively communicates the tone and personality of the organization or business. Here are some of my favorites.
Digital Illustration
Digital illustration is amazingly versatile. One of the most practical applications is simply converting raster images into vector art that can be easily scaled and reproduced on a huge variety of formats. While the illustration of Jimi Hendrix is something I did just for fun, the embroidery machine illustration was used as an icon on a trade show backdrop, and is suitable for numerous other applications, including embroidery, or as an icon for web graphics.
The illustration of various athletes was used to create frosted glass art for privacy windows at a Howard Head Physical Therapy location in the Denver Metro area.

Pencil Drawing
Drawing has been a “thing” for me since my youth. These pieces represent experiments with colored pencil, charcoal, and graphite. Though not “graphic design” examples per-say, I feel they deserve a place in my portfolio, and are representative of my passion for creating in general.
